Movie Magic Makeup Camp

For students entering 8th-12th grades. Limited to 8 participants.

Step behind the scenes of the film and television industry in our Movie Magic Makeup Camp where students will dive into the world of special effects makeup (SFX). Through hands-on training, campers will learn how professional makeup artists create realistic injuries and character transformations seen on screen.

Students will learn:

  • How to create realistic bruises and injuries
  • Frostbite and weathered skin effects
  • Aging techniques for “old age” makeup
  • Color theory and texture for believable effects
  • Proper use of makeup tools and materials
  • Creative problem-solving and character design

By the end of camp, students will put their imagination and newly learned skills to work by designing and creating their very own zombie character, from concept to final look!

ALL MATERIALS AND TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR THIS CAMP. Students will receive their own makeup kit and tools as part of the price of the experience.
