A project very close to our hearts, “The Legend of Lake Hollow,” has been picked up for distribution! A psychological thriller steeped in the rich tapestry of Northern Plains Native American folklore. Directed by the talented Chris Hollo and written by Jerry Robbins, this gripping story unfolds against the backdrop of the picturesque landscapes of Sumner County and the outskirts of Nashville, TN.

One of the most captivating aspects of the film is the chilling presence of the Wendigo—a creature from Native American mythology. This terrifying entity, along with other makeup and special effects, was masterfully crafted by Ben Rittenhouse and AMUA students. Their dedication to authenticity shines through in every detail, from the intricacies of the creature’s design to the meticulous construction of costumes that pay homage to the Northern Plains tribes.

The film is available for rental or purchase on various streaming platforms, including Amazon Instant Video, iTunes/Apple TV, Vudu, and Google Play. Additionally, it’s accessible through major cable providers’ Video On Demand offerings. For more information and updates, visit Penumbra Entertainment and delve into the making of the film with “The Long Take” article here.
