Our students’ creativity and dedication in their courses and productions have taken flight this term. From intricate makeup effects to stunning wig creations, this season has been a testament to their talent and hard work. Let’s take a moment to highlight the projects that have kept our stage vibrant and our students engaged this spring.

Our spring began with an exciting venture into film with the Ashley Wolfe project. Under the skilled hands of Jade Moreno, special effects makeup came to life, featuring bald caps and realistic scarring.

Kat and Jai took the helm in creating mesmerizing wigs for Harpeth Hall’s production of “The Little Mermaid.” Their artistry added depth and character to the enchanting world under the sea, bringing the beloved tale to life in a truly captivating manner.

In collaboration with Reagan, Jai and Kat demonstrated their expertise in styling the female wigs for Springhouse Theatre’s rendition of “Jane Eyre.” Their attention to detail and historical accuracy transported audiences to the moors of England, where the timeless story unfolded amidst stunning visuals.

Undoubtedly one of the highlights of the season was Harpeth Hall’s production of “Anastasia,” where Kat led a team of students in wig styles and applications. From the elegance of Anastasia herself to the regal presence of the Dowager Empress, each character was brought to life through the artistry and dedication of our students Alden, Jalicia, Reagan, and Jai.

As we reflect on the projects of this spring, it’s evident that our students have not only honed their technical skills but also embraced the spirit of collaboration and creativity that lies at the heart of production. Their dedication to excellence both on stage and behind the scenes serves as a source of inspiration for us all, reminding us of the transformative power of art and the magic that happens when talent meets passion.
