What You’ll Receive
- Mannequin Head: Each participant will be provided with a styling mannequin head for hands-on practice during and after the workshop.
- Supplies Provided: Bobby pins, hair pins, hair sprays, and other essential styling products will be available for use.
- Expert Instruction: Learn from seasoned professionals with extensive industry experience.
- Hands-On Practice: Engage in practical sessions to apply techniques in real-time, building confidence and proficiency.

The Instructor
Claire Mints is a seasoned makeup artist and AMIA alumna. At the Academy, Claire honed her
skills in various makeup styles, ranging from the subtle art of “no makeup” makeup to the
intricacies of wig making and styling, and even the fascinating world of special effects makeup,
where she could turn a man into a turtle or create other captivating transformations.
Claire’s practical experience extends to makeup for diverse occasions, including weddings,
music videos, and film productions. Her work has left its mark on notable projects such as
“Breach,” “White Elephant,” “Bandit,” and “Deadlock.”
Workshop Refund Policy:
Cancellation by Participant:
- If a student cancels their registration more than 14 days prior to the event, they will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellation by AMUA:
- AMUA reserves the right to cancel an event in the event of low enrollment or if the instructor becomes unavailable. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund.
Other Policies:
- Attendees are responsible for notifying the instructor of any allergies or limitations that may affect their participation in the workshop.
- AMUA reserves the right to make changes to workshop schedules, content, or instructors when necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes in advance.
Hold Harmless Agreement:
By attending the workshop, participants agree to release and hold harmless AMUA, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or damages arising from participation in the workshop. Participants acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety and well-being during the workshop.
