Financial aid provides assistance to students who may not have the means to attend a private school. If you have questions about how you can finance your Academy of Make Up Arts education, contact us today. Our staff is always available to speak with potential students and parents about your options.
Federal Financial Aid
Our school does not currently participate in federal funding (Title IV). We don’t have a FAFSA code.
We are a NACCAS candidate for accreditation, however, which means that at some point in late 2018, students may be eligible for federal student loans. We will make an announcement and update this section once this process is completed and students are eligible for federal aid.
Academy of Make Up Arts Scholarships
Once you’ve been accepted to an AMUA program, you have the opportunity to be considered for one of our Creative Potential Scholarships. These scholarships are dispensed on the basis of financial need and artistic potential. If you have an existing artistic background in any field, you are strongly encouraged to submit a portfolio with your application so we can get an idea of what you’ll be bringing to the table. Creative Potential Scholarships cover up to 40% of tuition costs.
- Open to all students in applied or enrolled status.
- This is a one-time award applied as tuition credit to their tuition balance. Students are responsible for the payment of fees, books, supplies, and other educational costs.
All applicants with portfolios are automatically reviewed for scholarship consideration.
You can submit your portfolio online via SlideRoom at http://amua.slideroom.com. Please note, there is a $10 fee to submit a portfolio. The deadline to apply for scholarship consideration is typically 30 days prior to the program start date.
Installment Payment Plan
Our no-interest installment payment plan offers students the option to spread fee payments out over a period of up to six months. The IPP is designed as a budgeting tool for students and families, and is not considered a loan. Installment payments are scheduled according to your program start date, as indicated in the Student Portal. Contact Admissions for more information about the IPP.
Please note: Student Records including transcripts, Certificates and Diplomas will not be released until a student account is paid in full.
In-House Student Loans
We understand that many individuals do not have the means to pay up-front for school tuition. AMUA offers flexible financing in the form of monthly payments. You must meet credit history, income, and employment requirements to qualify for a private student loan. A cosigner may help you qualify. Click here for the full details.
- Materials fees and $500 tuition deposit must be paid 30 days prior to start-date
- Tuition balance is divided into monthly payments
- 10% fixed interest
- No loan origination fee
- No pre-payment penalty
