SUMMARY:Movie Magic Makeup Camp
DESCRIPTION:For students entering 8th-12th grades. Limited to 8 participants. \nStep behind the scenes of the film and television industry in our Movie Magic Makeup Camp where students will dive into the world of special effects makeup (SFX). Through hands-on training\, campers will learn how professional makeup artists create realistic injuries and character transformations seen on screen. \nStudents will learn: \n\nHow to create realistic bruises and injuries\nFrostbite and weathered skin effects\nAging techniques for “old age” makeup\nColor theory and texture for believable effects\nProper use of makeup tools and materials\nCreative problem-solving and character design\n\nBy the end of camp\, students will put their imagination and newly learned skills to work by designing and creating their very own zombie character\, from concept to final look! \nALL MATERIALS AND TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR THIS CAMP. Students will receive their own makeup kit and tools as part of the price of the experience. \n

DESCRIPTION:Recommended for ages 16+ \nEver wonder how all those gory blood effects are done for your favorite horror movies? Join Emmy-award winning SFX artist Ben Rittenhouse to learn all the tricks of the trade with our Blood and Gore Workshop. Participants will construct blood rigs for slit throat effects and strap on prosthetic appliances.  Each student will have the opportunity to operate these rigs firsthand. It will be a bloody good time!
