"Nashville's first pro-makeup school"     


Now located in the heart of Music City in Nashville, the Academy of MakeUp Arts is designed teach you the skills and help you find the confidence you will need to launch a successful career as a professional makeup artist in the media of film, print, TV, fashion and bridal.

 

We train our students using the latest makeup technology: hi-definition airbrush makeup. Airbrush makeup is the only makeup suitable for HDTV.

 

Upon graduation, you will know proper makeup techniques and equally importantly, how to market yourself to get paid work immediately.

 

You will have a professional portfolio of images from your own photoshoot to show prospective clients within just two weeks of completing the course!

Why AMUA?

You have heard that a makeup artist will never reveal industry secrets to facilitate competition. I found this to be very true when looking for someone in the business to show me the way.

 
So, I invested in formal training where I learned the techniques that I needed to feel confident on the set, but I had to learn for myself how to find work and grow in the pro makeup industry.
 
Formal makeup training along with the business know-how is what I will share with you. Beyond that, when you go through our program we will go the extra mile to help you get work experience and paid jobs right out of school.
